Hunting - a lot of history and tradition
Hunting is the search, pursuit, killing and acquisition of game by a hunter. Hunting is described as the totality of hunting things, without official authorization or permission, the whole thing is called poaching and punished accordingly.

The code of honor for every hunter is to hunt according to the law of hunting. In Germany, hunting is subject to legal regulations in the Federal Hunting Act and the laws of the corresponding federal states. Historically, it served primarily to obtain food and hides, horns and sinews for further processing. Celebrated at the time as a feudal pastime of the nobility and nowadays described as totally unpopular is to hunt animals for the pleasure of killing. One always remembers pictures of hunting trophies from Africa, where people pay a lot of money to shoot a lion or elephant. Today there are ecological reasons why healthy animals are released for shooting. This is about regulating the population and maintaining the biological balance. Here the hunter serves quasi as a substitute for extinct wolves and bears, which have provided a natural balance. But it is also about economic reasons, when it comes to avoiding game damage in forestry and agriculture.
Hunting accidents happen almost every day. For the year 2009, 854 cases were documented in which hunters were injured by branches, thorns or tree stumps, with a knife while processing game or while handling a weapon. To avoid at least a number of the possible injury hazards, there is functional clothing, some of it with a protective effect. The Austrian manufacturer Pfanner Austria has designed a collection primarily for wild boar hunting, which protects the hunter from deep cuts in the leg area. There have been a few documented accidents where a shot boar lunged at the shooter, injuring the main artery in the thigh with its razor-sharp tusks. Without medical help, and it is very far away in the forest, you can bleed to death in minutes. To prevent this from happening, the manufacturer has incorporated the cut protection fabric of the cut protection trousers into this product as well. So here you are well equipped against this type of accident. If you can do without it, but are still out and about in dense woodland and run the risk of having to walk through thorns or sharp branches, you can fall back on the GLADIATOR outdoor trousers. It is equipped with an extremely resistant front, which has the best possible protection against it. Since you often also have to hold out very quietly and do not want to startle the game by making noise, there is also crackle or rustle-free clothing. For this, the most common material is a loden fabric made of scratch-free wool. The German shoe manufacturer HAIX from Mainburg has also designed its own hunting collection. The majority of the boots and ankle-high shoes feature a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® membrane, which keeps the feet dry and warm while hunting. In addition, they are made of a sturdy leather or textile / leather combination, offer a stable footing and a rough sole profile for any surface. Extra newly developed here is the well-known model HAIX Nepal Pro, a comfortable and lightweight hunting boot. This was designed for long distances and has excellent cushioning. Due to the shaft height of about 18.5cm, the ankles are also well protected against twisting.
