The history of the UVEX brand
In 1926, Philipp M. founded the company in Fürth-Poppenreuth, where it was initially called Optische-Industrie-Anstalt Philipp M.. At first, they only dealt in protective eyewear of all kinds. Their headquarters are still located in the city of Fürth today. The approximately 2700 employees who run the company are mainly concerned with eye and head protection. In 1970, the company expanded with its own production and sales. Even the equestrian product group was introduced in 2009.
