If you stand in your shoes all day, you should insist on the greatest possible comfort. After all, the working day is much easier and simpler if the feet are not damp and smell bad. Well-known manufacturers of safety shoes, such as LOWA and ELTEN, use a Gore-Tex® membrane in many shoe models, which makes the safety shoe not only waterproof but also breathable. The membrane works like a tiny window that only lets out water vapor (sweat) and is too small for the water drop to penetrate. This technique ensures a perfect foot climate inside the work shoe. Another but similar method is used by GEOX. Here the shoe breathes through the outsole. Waterproofness is also ensured by a membrane, whose mode of action is similar to that of Gore-Tex®. Diadora uses GEOX technology to make puncture-resistant safety shoes breathable as well. The Diadora series is called NET BREATHING and now includes 10 different shoe types.
