High-visibility protection is not only an issue during work in the dark season in winter, but whenever safety is compromised by poor lighting conditions or insufficient visibility. In many professions, it is now mandatory to wear high-visibility protection according to certain certifications or classes. The classes are divided into class 1, 2 and 3, where 3 is the highest and 1 the lowest level of protection. Class 1 offers so little protection that it is hardly ever worn in Germany. The wearing of high-visibility protection is mandatory, for example, for track and road construction or for rescue operations. But wearing a high-visibility jacket with reflectors is also advantageous in the forestry sector. The most common warning colors of high-visibility jackets are yellow, orange and red, without being assigned to a specific occupational group. In the GenXtreme store you will find a wide range of certified work jackets with sufficient warning protection for men and women in different sizes at reasonable prices.

The EN 471 high-visibility standard
The EN ISO 20471 or EN 471 warning protection standard is an internationally recognized standard and specifies how much of the outer material must be covered with warning materials so that a product can be certified accordingly. Fluorescent background material or reflective elements ensure sufficient visibility in accordance with the respective protection class. In general, the more of these materials are used, the higher the visibility and protection class.
EN 471 is divided into three classes. By combining two garments that are certified for the targeted protection class when used simultaneously, a higher protection class can be achieved than the respective individual products offer.
